I work as an IT analyst for an oil company. To me these rough textured vases remind me of the drill bits used when drilling for oil. This vase is made from maple. The outside is textured and copper is applied. A patina is then applied to that copper to give it the blue color.
About 2.5 inches tall this walnut vase has a bark inclusion that adds interest.
